Riding mode

You can change the riding mode.

The riding mode consists of the following parameters.


[P] Power: Engine output level

[EB] Engine brake: Engine brake level

[S] [Overall]: Suspension damping

[Front]: Suspension damping

[Rear]: Suspension damping

[PRELOAD] [Preload]: Rear suspension preload

  • (Rider): Rider only (Minimum preload)
  • (Rider+Cargo): Rider and luggage
  • (Rider+Passenger): Rider and passenger
  • (Rider+Passenger+Cargo): Rider, passenger and luggage (Maximum preload)

    Riding mode has 5 modes.

    Available riding modes: [TOUR MODE], [URBAN MODE], [RAIN MODE], [USER 1 MODE] and [USER 2 MODE]


    [TOUR MODE], [URBAN MODE] and [RAIN MODE]

  • [TOUR MODE]: Enables smooth acceleration even when riding with a passenger or a full load of luggage.
  • [URBAN MODE]: Standard, all-round mode for a variety of situations.
  • [RAIN MODE]: Good for stable riding on slippery surfaces such as rainy conditions.

    • Each initial setting value cannot be changed.


    [USER 1 MODE] and [USER 2 MODE]

    Each initial setting value can be changed.

  • Level 3 has the minimum power.


    • [EB] Engine brake value (Engine brake level)

    EB value has three setting levels.
    Available setting range: 1 to 3

  • Level 1 has the strongest engine braking effect.
  • Level 3 has the weakest engine braking effect.


    • [S] Overall: suspension damping

    [S] Overall value has three setting levels.
    Available setting range: [H] Hard / [M] Medium / [S] Soft

  • [H] Hard has the maximum suspension damping.
  • [S] Soft has the minimum suspension damping.


    • [Front]: suspension damping

    [Front] has three setting levels.
    Available setting range: - / Medium / +

  • + has the maximum suspension damping.
  • - has the minimum suspension damping.


    • [Rear]: suspension damping

    Available setting range: - / Medium / +

  • + has the maximum suspension damping.
  • - has the minimum suspension damping.


    • [PRELOAD] [Preload] (Rider), (Rider+Cargo), (Rider+Passenger) and (Rider+Passenger+Cargo): rear suspension preload

    NT1100DE

    [PRELOAD] [Preload] Preload has twenty four setting levels.
    Available setting range: 1 to 24

  • Level 24 has the maximum suspension preload.
  • Level 1 has the minimum suspension preload.


    • Selecting the riding mode

  • When using the sel up switch and sel down switch:
  • Press the sel up switch or sel down switch.

    Favourite switch

    You can also perform the above settings by using the touch screen.

  • When using the favourite switch:
  • Select the [Riding Mode] of the favourite switch.
  • Press the favourite switch.

    • Press the sel up switch or press the favourite switch

    Press the sel down switch


    Setting the riding mode

    You can change the [P] [Power], [EB] [Engine Brake], [S] [Overall], [Front], [Rear] and [PRELOAD] [Preload] on the [USER 1 MODE] and [USER 2 MODE] of the riding mode.
