Battery

Removal

Make sure the ignition switch is in the (Off) position.

Except CB500XA/XAC

Remove the front seat.

CB500XA/XAC

Remove the seat.

Release the tab of fuse box.

Move the fuse box to the side.

Unhook and remove the rubber strap.

Disconnect the negative ⊝ terminal from the battery.

Lift the battery cover up.

Disconnect the positive ⊕ terminal from the battery.

Remove the battery, taking care not to drop the terminal nuts.

Installation

Install the parts in the reverse order of removal. Always connect the positive ⊕ terminal first. Make sure bolts and nuts are tight.

Make sure the clock information is correct after the battery is reconnected.
