Except CB500XA/XAC

Tank capacity: 17.1 L (4.52 US gal, 3.76 Imp gal)

CB500XA/XAC ED, II ED, III ED, KO, II KO, III KO type

Tank capacity: 17.5 L (4.62 US gal, 3.85 Imp gal)

CB500XA/XAC except ED, II ED, III ED, KO, II KO, III KO type

Tank capacity: 17.7 L (4.68 US gal, 3.89 Imp gal)

Refuelling and Fuel Guidelines

Opening the Fuel Fill Cap

Open the lock cover, insert the ignition key, and turn it clockwise to open the cap.

Closing the Fuel Fill Cap

After refuelling, push the fuel fill cap closed until it locks.

Remove the key and close the lock cover.

The key cannot be removed if the cap is not locked.

Petrol is highly flammable and explosive. You can be burned or seriously injured when handling fuel. Stop the engine, and keep heat, sparks, and flames away. Only handle fuel outdoors. Wipe up spills immediately.
