Removing & Installing Body Components

Bolts

Battery lid

Positive terminal

Negative terminal

12 V Battery

Make sure the power switch is in the (Off) position.

Remove the battery lid from step floor by removing the bolts.

Disconnect the negative ⊝ terminal from the 12 V battery.

Disconnect the positive ⊕ terminal from the 12 V battery.

Remove the 12 V battery, taking care not to drop the terminal nuts.

Install the parts in the reverse order of removal. Always connect the positive ⊕ terminal first. Make sure bolts and nuts are tight.

Make sure the clock information is correct after the 12 V battery is reconnected.

Except ED, II ED type

The anti-theft alarm system will be deactivated if the 12 V battery is disconnected. The system will remain off when the 12 V battery is reconnected.

To activate the system, “Setting the Anti-theft Alarm System.”
