Storing Your Vehicle

If you store your vehicle outdoors, you should consider using a full-body cover.

If you won't be riding for an extended period, follow these guidelines:

  • To prevent the battery for motor from degrading, keep the battery for motor gauge at 30% and store your vehicle somewhere cool.
  • Recommended temperature: 0 to 25 °C

  • When you store your vehicle, check the battery for motor gauge once a month. If it goes down to 10%, charge your vehicle until it gets to 30%.
  • NOTICE

  • Do not store your vehicle at 10% for an extended period of time, as it may cause the battery for motor to malfunction.
  • Do not store your vehicle fully charged, as it may further degradation.
  • Wash your vehicle and wax all painted surfaces (except mat painted surfaces). Coat chrome pieces with rust-inhibiting oil.
  • Place your vehicle on its centre stand and position a block so that both tyres are off the ground.
  • After rain, remove the body cover and allow the vehicle to dry.

  • After removing your vehicle from storage, fully charge the battery for motor and inspect all maintenance items required by the Maintenance Schedule.
