Activating the Motor

Activating the motor allows you to drive.


This vehicle is equipped with a motor drive cut-off type side stand.

  • The motor will not activate while the side stand is lowered. Always put the side stand up before activating the motor.
  • The motor will stop if you try to use the side stand while the motor is running.
  • NOTICE

    If the vehicle is over-turned, you must first turn the power switch to the (Off) position and then inspect the vehicle carefully.

  • Place the vehicle on its centre stand.
  • Lock the rear brake lock.
  • The motor will only activate when the brake lever is squeezed.
  • Turn the power switch to the (On) position.
  • Check the standby indicator is flashing.
  • If the standby indicator is not flashing, the motor cannot activate.
  • When the standby indicator does not flash

  • While the throttle grip is completely closed, press the motor start button.
  • When the motor activates, the READY indicator comes on. You can now drive your vehicle.
  • Release the motor start button as soon as the READY indicator comes on.
