Display Check

When the power switch is turned to the (On) position, initial animation will show.

If any part of these displays does not come on when it should, have your authorised dealer check for problems.

  • SEL switch
  • Odometer [TOTAL]/Tripmeter [TRIP]/Clock (12-hour display)
  • SEL switch selects the odometer, tripmeter and clock.

  • Odometer: Total distance ridden.
  • Tripmeter: Distance ridden since tripmeter was reset. To reset tripmeter, press and hold the SEL switch with tripmeter displayed.
  • To set the clock:

    When “hot” or “cold” flashes

  • Power limitation indicator
  • Comes on when the power is limited.

  • The power is limited in any of the following cases. The motor performance declines, but you can still drive. The indicator automatically goes off when power limitation is no longer necessary.
  • If the PCU or motor is very hot
  • If the battery for motor is either very hot or very cold
  • If the remaining charge for the battery for motor is low
  • When the indicator lights on an upslope

    When the indicator lights on below 0 °C

  • Speedometer
  • Standby indicator
  • Flashes if the motor can activate when the power switch is in the (On) position.

    When the standby indicator does not flash

  • Inspect battery for motor indicator
  • Notifies you about the degradation of the capacitance of the battery for motor.

  • If this flashes, have your vehicle checked at your authorised dealer.
  • Battery for motor

  • Battery for motor indicator
  • Flashes when there is an abnormality with the installation of the battery for motor.

  • If this flashes, check the installation of the battery for motor.
  • Comes on when there is an abnormality with the battery for motor.

  • If this comes on, contact your authorised dealer.
  • Side stand indicator
  • Comes on when the side stand is lowered.

  • Battery for motor gauge
  • The remaining charge for the battery for motor appears. How the numbers in the battery for motor gauge decrease differs depending on the operating environment and how you drive. When they decrease, you must charge your vehicle.

  • If the remaining charge for the battery for motor falls below 19%, the battery for motor gauge flashes.
  • If the remaining battery charge for the battery for motor falls below 0%, you will not be able to drive your vehicle.
