Riding mode

You can change the riding mode.

Riding mode has 4 modes.

  • Available riding modes: STANDARD, SPORT, ECON, and RAIN
  • Initial riding mode: ECON

  • Additionally, each riding mode has a designated deceleration power selector level setting.

  • The deceleration power selector level can be changed.

  • Riding modes

    STANDARD mode:

This mode is for normal use, offering a good balance between acceleration and cruising range.

Initial deceleration power selector level: Middle (level 2)

    SPORT mode:

This mode gives you strong acceleration and responsiveness.

Initial deceleration power selector level: Middle (level 2)

    ECON mode:

This mode provides gently acceleration and strong regenerative braking, reducing unnecessary energy consumption.

Initial deceleration power selector level: High (level 3)

    RAIN mode:

This mode gives smooth vehicle behavior even in the rain.

Initial deceleration power selector level: Low (level 1)

Depending on the capacity, load, SOC and temperature of the high voltage battery, the output of each riding mode may be limited.

    Deceleration Power Selector

You can use Deceleration Power Selector to change level of regenerative braking, from level 0 to 3. Level 0 turns off regenerative braking.

The Deceleration Power Selector is an auxiliary deceleration system. When level 0 (regenerative braking OFF) is selected, only the front and rear brakes are used to slow down the vehicle. If deceleration using the Deceleration Power Selector alone is insufficient to adequately slow the vehicle, the rider should manually apply the brakes to slow down.

When you select level 0 (regenerative braking OFF), only front and rear brakes are the way to slow down the vehicle.

  • When the vehicle is decelerating via the system, the brakelight will turn on without operation of the service brake.
  • 3CAUTION

Rapidly increasing the deceleration level can cause the tyres to skid, resulting in a crash that could injure or kill someone.

Always maintain a reasonable level of deceleration.

You can adjust the deceleration power selector level to suit your preference.

Deceleration power selector level has four setting levels.

    Available setting range:
level 3 (High), level 2 (Middle), Level 1 (Low) and level 0 (Regenerative braking OFF)

  • Selecting the riding mode

You can change the riding mode using the MODE switch.

  • Stop the vehicle.
  • Press the MODE switch with the throttle fully closed.

Setting the deceleration power selector level

You can change the deceleration power selector level on the all riding modes.

While the vehicle is moving, press the F/+ or R/- button to change the level.

  • To increase the deceleration power selector level: Press the R/- button
  • To reduce the deceleration power selector level: Press the F/+ button
  • When you switch riding modes, the deceleration power selector level will return to the default value.

Slowly decelerate when you increase the deceleration rate with the deceleration power selector. If the road is slippery, sudden regenerative braking can cause the tyres to skid.
