Activating the Motor
Activating the motor allows you to ride.
This vehicle is equipped with a motor drive cut-off type side stand.
The motor will not activate while the side stand is lowered. Always put the side stand up before activating the motor.
The motor will stop if you try to use the side stand while the motor is running.

If the vehicle is over-turned, you must first turn the electrical system to the off and then inspect the vehicle carefully. |
This vehicle is equipped with a Honda SMART Key system. Always keep Honda SMART Key on you when you ride the vehicle.
Unlock the steering.
Activate the electrical system.
Check the PUSH START indicator is flashing.
If the PUSH START indicator is not flashing, the motor cannot activate.
When the PUSH START indicator does not flash
Squeeze the front brake lever or press the rear brake pedal, while the throttle grip is completely closed, press the motor start button.
The motor will only activate when the front brake lever is squeeze or press the rear brake pedal.
When the motor activates, the READY indicator comes on. You can now ride your vehicle.
Release the motor start button as soon as the READY indicator comes on.
